Precious, loving God, today we come to you to simply say thank you. Thank you for family that loves us. Thank you for friends to play with. Thank you for toys. Thank you for sunshine and warm weather so we can play outside. In your son's name we pray, amen.

Recipe Wednesday: Beck's Best Banana Bread

I grabbed this recipe from a book I read a long time ago, added some of my own flavors and fell in love! I hope you enjoy as much as I do!

2 cups flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup softened butter
2 eggs
3 mashed bananas
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tsp cardamom
1/2 cup pecans
1/4 cup cream cheese
1/4 tsp cinnamon

In a large bowl cream butter, both sugars, cream cheese together. Then add eggs 1 at a time.

Next add bananas, sour cream, cardamom, cinnamon until just blended. Then in a separate bowl mix flour, salt, baking soda together. Add the flour mixture to the banana mixture until just moist. Add pecans. Pour into a loaf pan and bake on 350 for about an hour.

Let cool slightly before eating. I like eating this bread just like any other slice of bread; warm with butter!
